Murtas Kazhgaleyev (born in 1973) first took part in the World Chess Olympiad as a member of the Kazakhstan national team in 1996, and continues to do so - he played at the Olympiad in India in 2022 (9 times in total)
Champion of the Asian Games 2006, three-time champion of Kazakhstan among men, winner of international tournaments in France, Spain, Netherlands, Russia, Kazakhstan and other countries.
Murtas was the Coach of the youth national teams of France (2001-2005) and Kazakhstan (2011-2014). He has extensive experience of working with both grandmasters and young, promising players and amateurs.
He has been published in various chess publications, has his own Youtube channel, and often writes about chess on Facebook and Instagram.
