Sanan Sjugirov was born in 1993 in Elista. He learned to play chess at the age of 5 and already in 2003 won the World Championship among boys under 10 years old. In 2010 he won a classical game against Magnus Carlsen at Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk
GM Yuri Yakovich, GM Andrey Zontakhand David Dzhanoev helped him improve in chess from childhood. He continues to cooperate with Yuri Yakovichto this day.
Currently he is living in Budapest and represents Hungary.
